I am one of those people who would like to get a lot of things done at once? Basically when I start residency for surgery I would like to know on what is a good masters program I could get into during my 5 years of training. I was planning to take online classes probably in genetics and then clinical research?

Any suggestions that would go well with my ambition to become a surgeon?

Anyone no any legit online universities?

Thanks 🙂

Are you really about to be a surgery resident like your status suggests? Can't imagine anyone being that close and thinking they'll have that kind of free time.

You won't have spare time, but if you do, study more for the absite or do specialty related research that might lead to a paper or presentation. There is very little value in trying to do an online masters.

For surgery, an extra degree will not do much for you career-wise. If you really want to pursue something, your best bet is to go to a program where you can do 2 years in the middle of residency to pursue the degree (i.e. a 7 year program). You'd have to ask programs about the ability to pursue a degree during the research years at interviews....some may not let you pursue the specific option you are looking for.
