for those who don't already know, the regional campus for UMMSM disappeared this year, so those of us who were accepted at the regional campus were invited to attend a tour/information day at the main campus (basically the entire interview day without the interview).

i don't know what to wear, because we're not actually interviewing! i asked my dad (a doc) and he said business casual, like nice pants and a blouse, but the folks in the Miami thread were leaning towards a suit, because during second-look weekends people wear suits.

just wanted to get some more people's opinions! i'm female, btw.

I think something like this would be perfect

that's really professional and everything, but i don't want them to think i'm stuck up. i was thinking about just a bikini. i mean it is miami after all.

So you're hesitating between business casual and suit? Umm... bring the jacket with you but stash it if nobody seems to be wearing them. If the jacket is not needed, you're already in dress pants/skirt with a blouse. I don't really see the issue.

that's a good point, but if i were doing business casual i would probably wear nice pants with some comfortable walking shoes and a springy blouse. my suit would involve pantyhose and heels, plus the suit is gray and the shirt is black with white spots, seems kinda dark for a tropical place in march.

A sheath dress with a blazer over it is a good cross between "suit" and "casual" IMO. You can make it something spring-ish if you want too.

I genuinely think that that's the best Lady Gaga has looked in forever

it is also a he-she

You could see part of her vag at the Brit Awards this year, which was probably intentional...she is definitely not a herm.

I wish this was something I didn't know.

I just changed my avatar to one that showed her. 😍

lol, I spit out some of my milk.

But wasn't there a video of her performing that exposed her Ace Ventura bulge?

. To be somewhat useful......... I think one of those vest things (not sure what its called) would be good, it's like a happy medium btwn a suit, and no suit. :

Good taste, that's hot!

A jaunty cap? Bermuda shorts pressed with a hot iron leaving a fine crease?

Link, please.

I am also attending an admissions tour at a school I've been accepted at because I interviewed at a different campus. I was going to dress more casually... maybe even jeans. Bad move?

Depends on the festivities.

At one of my schools, part of the day will be spent on a construction site, and they have told people to wear sensible shoes, etc. I plan to dress very comfortably...meaning sneakers and jeans...

You can almost never go wrong with nice khakis, leather shoes, and a buttoned collar shirt, blazer optional. Jeans are probably not a great idea unless the activities include outdoor stuff, a picnic, etc.

The Boca Raton campus won't be affiliated with UMiami any longer. It's part of FAU and they're making that campus a standalone medical school.

Seeing as how I'm not a dude, I think I would look a little silly dressed like that  ! I'm going to be spending the rest of the day walking around the city, etc so I really don't want to be in a skirt or heels. Plus it's freezing there. I'll try and come up with something nice and comfortable. Or maybe I'll go casual - after all they have already accepted me!

Her bikini isn't even damp and you can see... protrusions. Most professional suggestion thus far. +1

instead of guessing and showing up and feeling either over or under dressed why don't you call and ask? I'm sure they'll be happy to let you know the dresscode.

it was probably cold in there and it looks like (from her hair) they have a fan on her. i would definitely wear a bikini though and when you show up and everyone is fully dressed be like 'oh, i thought this was a pool party...?"

IRL no girl in her right mind would wear a bikini that is thin with no support like that. Visible nips = embarrassing. 😱

use common sense. i think business casual should be ok.

Haha, I guess there's a lot of insane girls where I live.

LOL. well it makes a difference if its just a matter of cold climate which can be embarrassing...or intentional which is just trashy and desperate.
