What to wear when going to dinner with the residents

Hi everyone,

I obviously know that we should wear nice suits for interviews, but how are we supposed to dress the night before at the dinner with the residents?

The Program Coordinators can tell you the type of attire that's suggested but the general wisdom has been, even if jeans/"hey its totally casual" are recommended, that men should wear khaki-type pants with a collared shirt and women a nice blouse/sweater set with trousers. Remember, its still an interview.

Typically can't go wrong with a nice pair of khakis and collared button down shirt. Works for all situations except formal which the PC would likely let you know beforehand (didn't ever come across a formal pre-interview dinner).
