Hi everyone,

I know this is a very subjective question, but in general, which of the top medical schools (top 25 US News in Research) are known for also building very good clinicians? You can interpret it the way you'd like but I would think good clinicians display empathy, communicate well, can work with patients from all walks of life, can work in interdisciplinary teams, emphasizes cooperative and not hierarchical leadership, etc.

Everything you are describing are basically qualities inherent to a person, not an institution. Any medical school will teach you to be a good clinician, being a good clinician does not always entail having those above posted qualities.

you'll find good and bad clinicians everywhere. It is more up to the individual than the institution. There are no rankings that will tell you where you will train to be the best clinician. You will be the best clinician at the place you feel aligns the most with your disposition, cultural values and interests in medicine, and will be the most happy

You can go to any hospital system's website (like UHealth, Upenn for example) and they'll have a list of "Best Doctors" by patient reviews, awards, etc. Yes, the top 20 get represented a lot, but so do a bunch of other schools too.
