I'm taking the test in 7 weeks. We still have class and I've been doing kaplans qbank. I range from like 50-60%. 👎 Unfortunately for my breakdown score I do pretty good in pathology anywhere from 70-80% but other areas like micro, anatomy, histo, and pharm tend to kill me. How nervous should I be now? Do I have enough time? Where do people typically start out at?

you should probably drop out of medical school.

j/k of course. Some people start off in the 40's so you are doing just fine. Have you started your comprehensive review yet? 7 weeks is a ton of time to hit your weaker subjects hard. As long as you are in the 60's or even better 70's as you near the test date you will most assuredly pass and will probably rock the boards. I was at 64% overall in UW and did just fine on the real thing...

use the Q banks as a learning tool rather than to gauge how you are doing.

If you want a gauge, the NBMEs will give you a pretty acturate estimate. You can buy them from their website.

Going by the 3 digit score, I went up around 50 points from my first NBME pre-studying to my actual score.
