What would happen if you got an email stating that you were accepted to a dental school and that they would send you the official acceptance letter in the mail and then they never sent it b.c. it was an accident that they sent you the acceptance email (e.g they meant to send it to another person that had an email similar to yours or just plain out got mixed up with the email names). The reason I ask is b.c. my letter of acceptance got lost in the snail mail apparently and I started to wonder what if they didn't mean to send me the email. I understand that this probably would never happen and that it would be very horrible, but I seriously was wondering this question after I found out it was missing today (I still have yet to call the dental school and ask what happened to it since I just found out tonight, but I will first thing tomorrow). What are you guys thoughts? Do you think they would have to accept you? Could they tell you the email was a mistake (even though you had already rented an apartment and planned your life around it for the past week) and tell you sorry?
