a) I'm not a MD/PhD student (I know that hurts a lot)
b) I'm willing to go anywhere. No need for a city location, coastal location, yada, yada, yada (I have a very supportive husband)

While I have not decided on any particular specialty, derm has a reputation to be one of the most competitive ones. I would like to use derm to gauge my likelihood of matching in a highly competitive residency program in a metropolitan city on the coasts. Here are my stats:

Year one Honors
Year two Honors
Step I 253
Year three grades: all passes--I'm a quiet person.

Sounds good too but your going to need to get some pubs, you know the rest letters, aoa yada, yada, yada.
