So over the summer I've been invited to do shadowing for surgical PA residency program at a local hospital. Essentially to my knowledge I shadow a group of PA surgical residents as they get trained and help out as a volunteer where I can.
I was just wondering what you guys think this would qualify as? I.e. does this count as shadowing even though it's not an MD program? Or is it more along the lines of clinical volunteering? Thanks.

Well I think the main part of it is observation but I guess they're trying to incorporate some level of inclusion for the participants. I'm not entirely sure what degree of 'helping' that means.

Well, you can't put it on your application until after it happens and then you'll have a better idea if it is clinical volunteering or "other" and how you want to describe in the text box what it is that you did, saw, learned.
