Alright guys im just curious to see how you guys would maximize this Monday schedule for studying... Monday is the day i like to get as much studying done as possible and it is also the day I have the most amount of classes. I NEED to study for chem, bio, math, and a 1 hr study session for english would also be nice, on monday and a one hour nap is also necessary...and i plan on sleeping by 1AM so here is my schedule:

Monday:
8AM-9AM: English
9AM-10AM Chem
10AM-1PM--No class
1PM-2PM Math
2PM-3PM Bio

I need to be able to: nap from 10AM to 11AM and then eat lunch from 11AM to 11:30, eat dinner from 5-6PM and then get a 1 hr break between studying some time at night. How would you maximize this schedule for studying? 😀

Monday is the first day of the week, you shouldn't "need" a nap.

Also, study smarter, not harder.

I'd use that 3 hr gap to study, eat and/or sleep so when you get home you're already done and can do whatever..

If that's your schedule monday, you must have NO classes on tuesday, thurs, and friday...
If that is the case, it also means you are studying WAY too much on monday...
second, this is way too much in general, imo. Ursa all the way, study smarter. If you're studying like that EVERYDAY now in undergrad, you won't last in med school.

Then again, you make it sound like you only do this monday cause thats your "day"
if thats the case, get another "day"... too much for one day is no good.

Well actually on Wed i have this same schedule plus one more bio meeting at 10AM and friday i have 3 classes. Tues and thurs are easier because i usually only have 1 class on those days but i have other obligations...

I wake up at 7:45 AM and I plan on being alseep by 1AM--anyone actually have a schedule idea?

You need us to point out 4 free hours in the day?? 3-5, 6-8. Done.

(Go to bed earlier)

This is ridiculous. I have either 4 or 5 classes everyday. Including three science labs. Not a big deal. Treat school like a job and you're fine.

OP has 4 hours of class and 4 hours of study. An 8 hour workday. How will he survive!?!?!....🙄

lol i feel like you guys are holding out on me on how much you actually study...id like to put in 8hrs of studying rather than 4 on monday... if you guys really only study a few hours after class then why do ppl on this site bitch so much about classes being difficult... if your done studying by 8PM then how is school difficult? btw i agree w/ you on my monday schedule 4 hrs in class isnt bad at all

You're getting the perfect amount of sleep. 6 hours 45 mins is way more than I get. It's probably too much if you're also taking naps for 1 hour a day.

Study from 11:30-1:00 and 3:00-5:00 and more after dinner/break only if necessary.

OP, that's a good question. I regularly studied about two hours a day and increased as exams approached. IMO if you have to study eight hours a day every day you're not studying efficiently, especially if you are in entry level courses.

that schedule blows. an 8 am class and you're not done til 3... rookie.

Study when you can and if you need more pull all nighters or late nights.

Starting class at 8am? Geez...

The earliest classes I've got are at 10am. I feel like no matter how difficult my schedule for the day is, I can accomplish it if I have 8 hours of sleep. The time between classes I use to eat and socialize and after my last class I study until 10 or 11. Then I shower and get ready for beddy byes.

Yeah that seems decent. 10am sucks but its only 2 times a week

Ehh this thread really makes me think that there is a huge difference between the top 30 schools and other universities...

Ive got friends that arent very smart who are at schools ranked like 120ish in the nation and they seem to be able to do well with not much work... I guess that if you go to a school thats easier to get into then your going to be graded on a greater curve because the avg. student will be significantly less intelligent then an avg. student at a top 30 school. Well w/e at least ill have a degree from a reputable school in a few yrs...😉

lol why not? isn't that a very reasonable time to go to sleep since it gives me nearly 7 hrs of continuous sleep if I wake up at 7:45?

If you have English at 8.... just add another hr of sleep = 8 hrs of sleep 👍

Starting with English is always best.

I'd start by sleeping through English. At home preferably, in class if you have to. What level bio/chem is it? Because that will determine how much "maximization" you need.

men ur schedule looks like ur in highschool.. how many credits did u take? coz monday itself seems 15 credits to me... what are your classes on tue and thur?
