I am just wondering what is going on at Virginia Commonwealth this year. I have seen very few people getting interviews so far...are they planning to hold classes next year? Are there going to be more than 10 people in the class starting 2007? Is it possible that everyone who is not part of SDN is getting interviews? There are only 8 or so from SDN that report interviews. Does anyone know what they are up to, other than just "reviewing" everybody's application?

Dude, there are maybe, 150 max predents that are active on SDN, out of <10000 nationwide. I'd say over 50% of people at interviews that I talk to have no idea what SDN is. Others know of it but don't care to post or read it.

Utahdad,

Also, Since Brownstien is at UNLV they stopped looking at Utahns as heavily.

This is correct. At my interview, the 4th years told us that they were looking to take less people from Utah than in previous years and were trying to diversify their out of state students a little. On a more positive note, they added 10 seats to the class for next year and nearly all of them will go to out of staters.

Completely false.

Dr. Healy told us on interview day that class size was being increased from 90 to 100 next year. He also said that they intend to keep the same ratio instate/out of state students, which means 5 of the new seats will go to out of staters next year. Would you care to explain what is incorrect about this statement?
