I'm taking the MCAT next Saturday. On the chance that my score comes back and it's not up to par, I'm obviously going to reschedule. However, I have already submitted my application and schools will no doubt get my first MCAT score.

If I re-take and improve, will schools consider an updated MCAT, OR will it not matter if I have already been rejected?

I know several people who took the MCAT in late May and already rescheduled despite not getting their scores for another two weeks or so. I think this is a terrible idea, but they are doing this on "feeling bad," not just to be safe.

Did you feel good about it? Practice test scores?

I'm taking the MCAT next saturday - haven't taken it yet.

My practices are averaging 30; still have aamc 10 + 11 left to do though..

Just saying that I know people who re-scheduled immediately after they took the MCAT for dates in early July and who are currently studying while waiting for their score. If you don't feel great about it, it's something to consider. If you re-take in August, you won't get a score until September.

Hi, I'm in the same position as you! I think I'm going to register for another date just in case... especially since they're changing it and I don't want to have to study for two different versions of the MCAT

I would think that if you had not yet been rejected that they would look at the new score. You should definitely contact the schools about it

I'm thinking I can still raise a point by next weekend, since a lot of errors have been silly...and I do better on later style MCAT's than earlier ones...I'm also content going DO so even if I manage a 28-30, I'll get accepted somewhere most likely..
