What's the deal with the friction between the AAMC and adcoms?

It seems like there's a lot of friction between the AAMC and adcoms, given how I often see the adcoms on here lambasting CNU for being for-profit. If being for-profit is so abhorrent, then why didn't the adcoms just band together against it? I thought that the AAMC was just all the med schools grouping together? If they didn't want it, why didn't they speak out?

It's not the for-profit status.
If the LCME had any idea that the school planned to decline government loans for their students, or that every dean that they were assured would stay would immediately leave, or that every request for information would be answered by an army of lawyers, I am sure that they would have pondered the decision a little longer.

It's not the AAMC, btw. If the LCME continues to hold CN'U' to lower standards than we are held to, I'm confident that this will be pointed out..
