Can anyone give me some info on Drexel? i guess my app is still under review there (as of 5/2). i haven't been called for an interview yet so i haven't gotten a chance to check out the area. what's the school like. sounds like it has been going through some administrative changes over the past couple years. change is good right?

You are looking in the wrong forum. You want pre-allopathic, not allopathic. But anyways, Drexel sucks. They interview like 10,000 people, seriously. They also have the largest medical school class, 250 each. They keep having all this hospital closing stuff going on and lastly, its hella exspensive. By the way I don't go there, but I did interview and get accepted there, nothing to brag about, but hey, I get it where I can.

Great job with the advice. Good thing you have no clue what you're talking about.

Tedd1212, I'd post this in the Pre-Allo forum if I were you. I'm not sure if Drexel is still interviewing (I think they might be), but people there ought to know for sure.

OK, i posted in allopathic cause i was hoping to hear from current Drexel students who might be able to shed some light on how all the restructuring is affecting the learning environment/student life (i worked in corporate where this kind of thing destroyed morale). I'll throw the post up in the pre- and see what comes of it. thanks -T

:meanie: this guy cracks me up

I am a current drexel student and don't know if we are still interviewing. But I do know that I am so happy I decided to go to school here. I got into 5 med schools and came here because my bf is doing his residency in Philly. I am so incredibly happy with Drexel. The administration is friendly and helpful, the professors are amazing teachers, and my classmates are down to earth, smart, focused, and well-rounded. I actually enjoy going to my classes. I couldn't imagine being happier in med school 🙂

some of you pre-MS1's out there are just plain ignorant. just because you interviewed there doesn't mean you know what drexel's all about. like the previous poster, i am also really glad i chose to go to drexel. in fact, i'm kinda sad that this will be my last year here....although i can't wait to start residency!
