Whats up with the QR scores lately?

I can't help but be scared for my life when I see SDNer after SDNer post fantastic TS, PAT, and RC scores (congrats to you all!) only to have it all ruined by QR 🙁 . Whats happening with the QR? Is it all word problems? (i'm assuming so since most of you have said as much)

Is there any hope?

Ditto, reading all these scores reminds me of my 15 last year, ::sigshs:: my tail is grass too, if that's the case well back to bootcamp for me! I still believe in miracles, & should sure use one on Sept 23rd

its the end of the test and generally people have issues being able to finish all the QR calculations before time runs out.

I don't like to think of it having "ruined" my score. Please, tell me I am not ruined. Have I just convinced myself that I still have good chances?

huh.. i thought the math part was super easy and comparable to the SATs.. Just go through some practice math questions from a practice DAT and see how it goes for you

yellow snow, i didn't mean ruined in that sense. you scores are awesome, but what i meant was that considering the high scores you guys are getting on all the other sections, the QR section must clearly be really difficult, insane, or just downright stupid. I'm just hoping its a bit more merciful when i take the exam

I'm going to have to agree with that whole "drained by the end" business. Let's take into consideration that you just finished RC, where you spuriously went scrolling through paragraphs to find the answer quickly. You get to QR, your mind is still in that psyche. You probably end up picking the answer that's ALMOST there at the answer, but not quite. "One more step, and I would've gotten it" business. I'm sure the grading is fine. I think the aforementioned reason is probably why people think they did will and then end up not doing so hot.

I didn't think the problems were that hard even though there were a good number of word problems. I just got too tired near the end, and just wanted to get it over with.

I remembering doing calculations and then getting one answer that was close to one of the choices, but not exact. and then doing it again, and then getting another answer.. and over and over etc. i was getting frusturated and just picked one.b
