Have you noticed some anesthesiologists have chronic dermatitis in their thumbs? Is it herpes? Doesn't really seem like a withlow. Doesn't look contagious either. Is it because they suck their thumbs after a stressful day?

:laugh: Isn't that what everybodys does...? 😕

I have a mild form of dishidrotic eczema and it is directly related to the gloves (latex or not) I use. One of our CT surgeons as well as some collegues from residency have varying degrees of it.

Clobetasol Proprionate is the answer if you have this. :meanie:

I definitely have some thumb callous-y thing from opening all those damned vials...

Is what you're seeing just the hallmarks of an overly physical career?
