1. As soon as I can completely fill out the application, and have time to review it.

2. Already did my TMDSAS app, so I already have my PS, and LOR's are mostly ready.

dang G.. you fast to respond.. I was working on the poll.😉
good luck to you:luck:

haha, one last SDN check before i head to the library for 8 hours 😛

I thought you can't submit until you they get transcripts? Or did I read it wrong? Or is that your application isn't complete until they get transcripts.

I was planning on filling out everything then see what my DAT scores are then pick the schools i want to apply to and then pay. which can pretty much be done right after the test. But between thursday and test day I can submit them all the stuff including transcripts.

Or will they not process my transcript or LOR until I hit submit and pay.

Your AADSAS application will not be officially sent until your transcripts have been verified. So even if you click submit, and your transcripts have not been processed/verified by AADSAS, your application will not be sent out.

Clicking the Submit button before your transcripts are verified simply prepares your application for instant submission to schools upon the verification of the transcripts. Hope that makes sense; it can be a little confusing.

I get that part where submit really doesn't means actual submission. they have to process your transcripts before it gets sent to the schools.

what I'm wondering is are you able to submit to them transcripts and LORs before finishing all the application questions and paying.

My teachers will be on vacation by mid june and won't be back till around august. So I want to take care of that immediately tomorrow and slowly work through the rest of the app.

Yes, you can submit the transcripts and LORs before finishing all of the AADSAS application questions and payment, I am quite certain.

Definitely, you can have your letter writers submit ASAP within the first moments of AADSAS opening.

Thanks for clarifying it.. I was wondering the same thing.

So, 16 people have applied by now? 🙄

How the heck can anyone apply before June 13th?

There's not transcripts for sure, so how can you do it? 😛

:smack:

I got my application finished, but I am waiting until DAT scores get posted online.

if we submit at the end of june, would that safely make the first batch still, or be a risky move?

I have everything 100% done (pretty sure 😛)

I'm just waiting on LORs from Interfolio before I click the submit button on AADSAS.

Plus, I have a majority of my supplemental (one's that require immediate mailing) completed.

Darn LORs!!

Wow. well done
what school need immediate supplementals?

does anyone know what kind of photo schools that require a picture want? both Creighton and NYU want a 2x2 and it says 'passport style' does that mean they want it like a mugshot? or a professional one? or do they just want one of only your head??

Shoot, really? -_- my advisor said it was okay to do though..
Maybe I'll get a second opinion from another bio faculty advisor...

i thought july is still considered early, though not earl-iest. based on my predents profile alone (no dat i know), is submitting in july too late for me. I'm trying to get 100+ shadowing hours b4 submitting...

Can you submit without LORs?

I've got everything finished except transcripts and LORs..and I'm tempted to e-submit now lol. A little undecided on that

Yes you can submit without LORs but I believe your application will not be mailed until it is complete (with LORs).

It seems like quite a few people submitted before June 13th!

I wonder if these people realize that the first AADSAS mailing date this year is June 24th?

I didn't want to miss the ship, so I submitted asap!

If your LORs aren't in, they'll have to be shipped in the second batch.

If this is the case, it would be as if you submitted your AADSAS app for the second mailing.

Schools generally won't review your application until it's 100% complete. If it's not 100% complete, they will set it aside until everything comes in.

Correct. This goes for transcripts as well.

All my letters have been received, I'm just waiting for those transcripts to arrive!

Wow! Your LORs arrived fast! Did you send them to AADSAS, or directly to your schools of interest?

If you sent them to AADSAS, did you use AADSAS to handle all of your letters (verses a 3rd party dossier)?

D#@$m, That early?:scared:

Is it safe to e-submit before June13th, but LORs, transcripts and DAT are already on the way?

I would recommend only clicking submit after your LORs have been received by AADSAS.

You can click submit if everything BUT the transcripts have been verified. Transcripts are out of your hands completely, and I'm pretty sure they are the limiting "reagent."

Both letters were submitted electronically through AADSAS.

My dentist LOR was uploaded June 3rd, and my committee letter was uploaded today.

As far as I'm aware of, most schools don't want you to send them letters directly if you do it through AADSAS instead, and AADSAS won't mail your app until they have your letters. So you shouldn't have to ever worry about sending letters to schools individually, correct?

Correct, you shouldn't have to worry about sending letters to school individually.

AADSAS will mail your application without your LORs! Note on AADSAS that they are not a required field!

Ah! Well at least it's already taken care of in my case!

i submitted mine without the letters because i dont think you need the letters for aadsas to start processing, only the trancripts and then once everything is processed and your letters get there they will be sent

i went to visit my state school today and now i feel even more nervous about not getting in 🙁

You all got your official DAT score posted on aadsas?

yea, call the ADA and have them mail your score to AADSAS otherwise it wont show up

I'm pretty sure this is incorrect. Why wouldn't AADSAS tell you in the instructions to do this? Also, it seems you would have to pay a fee in order to do this as well. I'm sure AADSAS would not add this feature, just so you have to pay to have your scores reported instead of a self report. That just doesn't make any sense....

WRONG. DENTPIN does everything for you.

This seems correct.

Not sure what ItalianPrincess is talking about 😕

Why would one have to call ADA to send scores to AADSAS? Because AADSAS does not say this in their directions, nor have I ever heard this before.

Please clarify ItalianPrincess 🙄

I am wondering whether that 50 people, who have submitted already, have seen their DAT scores on aadsas before doing so??:meanie:
