I am going to apply next july and am wondering how soon I should start looking at the books for the D.A.T.? And how long before you guys took the test you started to study every day? Thanks

I started looking over stuff in June...on and off. Week vacation here and there. So I didn't really start hardcore studying everyday til August 8th. Since then I have been studying 5+ hours a day, 5 or 6 days a week. I'm taking the DAT this Friday, so we'll see if I should've passed up all those nights at the bar and days on the lake!
😕

Dont go crazy yet. Start slow, with the basics, a little every week. A few months before the exam, start hitting it hard. You have pleeeenty of time 🙂

I believe this depends on your own ability and how well understood/remember material from school. I had a 3.0 and did terrible in my classes so I started in May, studied for a solid 3 months everyday, doing between 8-12hrs/day. For the 1st two months I did 12hrs/day to get a hold of the material. the 3rd month was dedicated to practice tests and finding more detail to specific questions.

Because the test is getting harder or more random it will be best to have enough time to dedicate to a variety of study guides from Kaplan, Acheiver, Topscore, Cambells bio, Ap Cliff notes, Shuams bio, Destroyer, Exam Krackers, and many others.

Studied: May 5 - Aug 22
Exam: Aug. 22
