Has anyone received a smoke signal from their program? It would be poor form if so many days or even weeks go by without hearing something from the PD or someone who will be adopting us starting late June/early July.
Considering that I will be moving half way across the country, I'd like to know when I have to pack me shhh-tuff and head out.

I called the residency coordinator at my program and got the basics dates, who's in the class, etc. I was told that big @ss packets would be sent out in the next week and that the PD would also send out e-mails. Don't know if its the same everywhere, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it. 😀

Congrats on the match. 👍

I got a call from a few residents at Michigan (U of) a few hours after getting my envelope, an email from the secretary the next morning, and a call from the PD Friday around noon.

Don't know what is normal, but I would expect some sort of contact pretty soon because I think there is a lot of paperwork that will need to be completed rather soon.

I got a call from a chief within 2 hours of the envelope (I wasn't even home yet), and the assistant PD called the next morning. Got the congratulatory email from the secretary, as well as another lengthy email about how to fill out the mountain of paperwork that is winging its way to my door. She also said that she'd have short bios of my new classmates out soon.

must feel nice to get love like that, but I wouldn't know b/c I haven't received anything yet. I'm sure I'll get something soon, an email at least.

Thanks comrads, and good luck to all.

For us I think it was at least a couplle of days until we heard anything.

I got an email from the residency coordinator on friday congratulating us and letting us know to expect a package in the mail next week with contracts, etc..

I had a telephone message from the PD when I got home from the match festivities and several emails from the program coordinator.

Take care,
Jeff

I received an email from the PD with "congratulations......we're pumped......hope you're pumped........10 ton packet on the way" on Thursday at +/- 3:00.

Kentucky by 10 over Utah. Go Cats.

My PD called me an hour after results were posted.

I feel loved!
