When do you get access to your loan money?

Hello, all.

I have a question... Once you get accepted to a dental school how long do you need to wait before you have access you your actual loan money? Assuming most of us have to move to a new city and rent apartments ahead of time, I certainly hope we get the money a month or two in advance!

I am trying to plan ahead and would really like to hear some first-hand experiences with turnaround time with financial aid.

We usually get ours about a week before school starts.

I believe it depends on the schools financial aid office and when they process it. So it could be before or after school starts.
