When do you know you're "ready" to take the DAT?

I understand that you can never be ready for the DAT. But would like to hear any insights of how you decided that you're "ready" to tackle the exam.

Did you use test scores from BC and old DAT exams as a benchmark? If you do poorly on them, do you automatically reschedule the exam in hope to improve upon it or you just go for the DAT? I know that people scored higher by 1 or 2 points on the real DAT than BC and old DAT. But let say if I am aiming for 21 and I score 18 on BC and old DAT, then should I reschedule because 1 or 2 points more would just be 20 on the real DAT. This is just an example.

Does anyone who reschedule their exam upon seeing their scores from BC and old DAT? Did it help your score by rescheduling it?

Thanks for the help.

I've personally known colleagues in real life who didn't feel "ready" and rescheduled and got a 23 AA 25 TS. I've also known people who rescheduled 3 times and still didn't feel ready and rushed in to take it and got <17. It all depends on you.

BTW, I would not really rely on using Bootcamp as an actual metric. I actually scored 24/25AA 22/23 TS on Bootcamp but I actually got 2 points lower on each and I THOUGHT I crushed it. Everyone's different. Just take it when you feel like you know ~95% of the things you studied... you can never be 100% ready for anything IMO.

I took a DBC practice test and then the two old DAT's during the seven days preceding my test (one a day). My actual score was pretty much the average of my 5 DBC tests; they were better indicators than the old DAT's in my case. Reading the above post though, I guess it's hard to make a universal statement about the best indicator.
