when does GW re-review its pre-interview hold candidates?

Does anyone know someone who got off the pre-interview wait list?

Anyhow, just called them and they claimed to be interviewing until March.... hmmmm do we have just one more shot?

They send you a little post card that says something to the effect of:

Your file is complete and has been reviewed. At this point we will put your file on hold for another review in February. Please do not send any more information except for fall semester grades.

I think I got my card back in October or November and they put me on hold till February. I thought it seemed excessive but maybe there are just that many applicants ahead of me on the list. Who knows.

Woops, I'm sorry. I remebmered it being a small post card but they actually send you a letter.

I do not know, but if you're still intersted in GW I think it would be a good idea to drop them a line saying something like "yo i'm really interested, hope to interview w/ya soon. here are my awesome accomplishments since i sent my app." can't hurt...

Who are you supossed to talk to, though? I called up and basically only asked whether they got my new transcript and the status of my application. The lady who answered the phone (very nice) politely told me and that was about the end of the conversation. I definitely get the feeling that the lady who answers the phone isn't actually involved in reviewing the files.

They will review those pre-interview hold apps this month according to the letter that I got, however, I would rather attend UTHSCSA anyways, so I will cancel my application.

I have been contacting the school via emails. They said they will rereview the files this month. They asked me to send updates to my app. via email or mail. I think showing a little interest in the school may give you an edge over others for an interview. Good luck.
