When does Interfolio become available?

I am not applying to DS until the summer of 2014. However, I have a few professors that I'd like to ask for recommendation letters. Can they upload letters to Interfolio a year in advance? If not, how should I handle this? I'd like to get this letters before they forget who I am!

interfolio is a subscription. you can opt for one or three years (if i recall). however, i would recommend holding off on signing up until about 6 months before the application cycle you intend to participate in.

reason for this is you're also going to wait about that long to ask your professors for letters. why? because you're going to have that much more time to get to know them. which should translate into a stronger letter.

Thanks for the great information, however I want to ask a professor I've already had to write me a letter. What do I do in this case? I'm afraid that if I wait, I might be forgotten.
