When doing extractions, if you move something to the aqeous layer, can you just evaporate it away?

Simple explanation:

1) BP of organic phase is typically far lower than that of water.

2) Aqueous solvent-solute interactions complicate extractions and drying etc. e.g. azeotropes

I am no ochem lab expert, nor does one need to be for the MCAT, but try referring to the EK lab techniques section, TBR ochem, and maybe KA.
