So I have a 30 (balanced) on my MCATs and a 3.6 (3.5 BCPM). I have 5 waitlists and will probably go to my last interview (Finch). It's kind of a excruciatingly long process for me and for others who are the waitlists. I am just wondering if I should stay put or reapply again. If I do reapply again, would it be ok for me to just be teaching the SATs and use the same lor's that I used the first time around? If not, should I shell out major $$$'s for Georgetown's SMP? What do you guys recommend me to do?

I would wait at least until the end May to reapply. A lot of people are holding on to multiple acceptances, and on May 15th we can only have one. I'm declining my acceptance from Rosalind this week, just stay hopefull. the fact you have been waitlisted and not rejected is good. If you have to reapply, make sure you talk to the school and ask what you could have done better. It can't hurt. Good luck on your interview.

My intention is to start working on my application in June and turn it in mid to early July.

5 waitlists is pretty good.

Thanks for your replies...just wondered if other folks had other opinions?

I'm on 3 waitlists and I'm going to be submitting again on June 1st. I figure if I don't get in this time at least I'm already started on next year and if I do get in then...well, that's pretty obvious.

Don't give up yet! At almost every school I've been to, people have stressed showing interest if you want to get off the waitlist. Do everything you can, because it's not over till the first day of classes. Do you know if you can apply for the next year and still hold your spot on the waitlists? Or do you have to withdraw if you reapply? If you don't, I would go ahead and do both. Hey - good luck.

Most likely, you'll get in somewhere with five watilists.

But, just in case you don't, I highly suggest you do something "new" to spiff up your application in the meantime. Since this is a random process (and there may not have been any glaring problems with your application to begin with), I believe that most adcoms who have rejected you before will only look for the changes you've made to your application the second time around. If you haven't made any changes, they'll probably think to themselves, "hey, this was easy" and throw it into the rejected pile again.

Again, I think you'll get in somewhere by june. Good luck.

You can hold waitlists and reapply.

tell us what schools you are waitlisted at and maybe we can be of more help. Some schools tend to have a high percentage of the class off the waitlist while some dont.

Same boat here..balanced 30 with a 3.52 overall and sci, 6 interviews and 6 subsequent waitlists. Right now, I am assuming at least one acceptances. But come end of June, if I have no acceptance then I'll start to really worry.

I got waitlisted at Buffalo, Loyola, Temple, NYMC, and St. Louis
