Let me start off by saying I know I have a garbage sgpa. Most schools I am applying to have a minimum of 2.8. If I apply in July, I will have a 2.75. If I wait till end of August and get final summer grade, it will be a 2.8. The question is should I send out app early as possibly with the lower GPA (I think the sooner the better) or wait the extra 6 weeks and apply later with the slightly higher gpa (but application will be going out a bit late in the game)? I dont want to get rejected for the 2.75 not meeting the minimum requirement but also dont want to be sending out application in September when schools have already been getting applications for three months.

I think if you apply with the 2.75 and their minimum sGPA required is 2.8, your application will be tossed without consideration. Personally, and as uncomfortable as it would make me if i were in your situation, I would wait until you are at least above their stated sGPA cutoff.

You need to do a post-bac program (if you don't have that many science credits) or masters program (if you have a lot of science credits already) to get that GPA up.

You're not going to get in anywhere with a 2.75. Don't waste your money.

Well I guess I should explain a little further. I went to college 16 years ago and failed a bunch of joke science classes but didnt care since I was a business major. Now I have gone back to school, taken the core pre-req science courses (the real science classes, not ones like introduction to the world science) and have about a 3.7. I am hoping once a school actually looks at the application, they will see whats up or maybe Im crazy. I already have a master's as well.

Well that's an interesting situation. If it was me, I would wait until August. You really need to apply early, but since you don't meet the minimum GPA at most places, they'll just throw your app out. Apply in August, pray every night, and see what happens. If you don't get in, at least you'll be set to apply early next cycle. Good luck 👍
