June of 2008 if you're applying for Fall '09.

June of 2008 if you're applying for Fall '09.

I'm very confused about this. How can they accept you when you still have one year of classes remaining? Are you saying to START the application then, but you'd end up sending it in later?

No, definitely turn them in as soon as you can. PharmCAS starts accepting applications in August. Schools have different deadlines so watch out for those. A lot of people don't have all their pre-reqs done by the time they apply. You just have to be finished with the pre-reqs by the time you enter pharm school. Some schools want everything done by the end of the spring semester, others let you have the summer too.

Just to make it clear, a little example. I applied during Summer-Fall of 2007 to be admitted to pharm school in Fall 2008.

You start your application in the summer AND send it in as soon as you can for that application cycle. It's fine if you still haven't finished your pre-reqs as long as you can show them that you're planning to finish them by whatever deadline the school has for classes. If they decide to accept you, it will be on the condition that you finish your pre-reqs in time.

I applied August 2007 to be admitted for Fall 2008. My adviser encouraged me to apply early, meaning be at the top of the stack of applicants; be one of the first ones they see. I got an interview during the first week of WVU's interviews, so I'm not sure if this helped the process along or not. I'm thinking it couldn't have hurt. Good luck in your application process and getting into pharmacy school!
