I'm only a sophomore but i have finished gen. chem, o chem and Bio. I was thinking about studying for the dat this summer and taking it in the end.Everyone ive asked told me they take it their jr. year. is this summer too soon? Please help!

No, it's not too early if you've already finished your core sciences. In fact, it's probably better to plan ahead and spend the summer studying and take it afterwards. That way, if for some reason it doesn't go well, you have more than enough time to re-do it. I wish I had planned ahead and taken it last summer when I wasn't doing anything, because now I have to stress about getting all my application materials together while studying for the DAT at the same time :/

I'm a sophomore too, and I'm taking it this summer. I'm actually also finishing my ochem this summer while simultaneously studying for the dat (but our ochem is pretty intense, so i should be ok even without my last ochem). Overall, I think its a good idea to take it this summer because all of our subjects will still be pretty fresh. Older students that ive talked to agree.
