I'm pretty much set on Jefferson. I've done all the financial aid for it, I've gotten it partially paid for by an outside source, and I applied for housing. My parents have seen the school and have spoken with the faculty. One prof even bought my whole family dinner and took us on a tour of the hospital.

Should I go to the 2nd look? It's during finals and it would cost $$$ (lots of it).

Also, I have an interview at Drexel coming up, which I'm considering canceling. I think I've already made my decision, but could you compare Drexel and Jefferson? Please.

Thank you,
Han14tra

lots of moneY?? I wouldnt go especiallly since you are dead set on jeff....im only going to the second look within driving range for me.

Thanks. Why does your status say attending if you are going on 2nd looks?

What kind of Drexel/Jefferson comparisons are you looking for? Jefferson is "ranked" higher, obviously. But what else are you wondering about?

Everyone keeps saying that Jeff is better than Drexel (even some Drexel students). I don't understand why.

If it was convenient and I had my top choice in hand, I might go just to socialize and possibly meet a roommate or two. If I had two top choices, I might go if I felt that it would significantly improve my current perception of each. More likely, I would attempt to do some phone calling if I had q's.

Well sure, according to US News it is. Nonetheless, I'm very happy with Drexel. The curriculum is fantastic, the professors are great, and the students are ridiculously non-competitive. Plus we have a butt-load (that's a technical term) of affiliated hospitals, and our mascot is a dragon.

Um sold.

D&D FTW!

Just told Jeff, I'm not going to the 2nd look.

Trying to let go of Drexel, but this is hard. Anyone else care to convince me to cancel my interview at Drexel? The interview is still more than 1 month away, but I want to give them a chance to invite someone else in my place.

Cancel your interview! Now!

Did that convince you?

But seriously...you seem to like Jeff. Just move on, it will save you a lot of frustration. If you do interview you'll then have to wait to hear if you are accepted, and then if you are waitlisted its just another thing to think about. Not worth it.
