basically I have two options listed below with some more details and concerns...

Option One: Drop my medical terminology class so I am only taking anatomy and an easy class, spend all my spare time studying for the MCAT to take in June and get my application submitted by July.
Option Two: Keep my medical terminology class because it may be helpful, begin studying for mcat but not as much and not take it until July or August submitting my application in August or September

I took the MCAT last year after a full summer of classes and no prep, and obviously did not take it seriously, and as one may expect, I did very poorly. So, I am retaking the MCAT this summer. However, I am confused as to when to take it... I graduate the first week of June. Right now I have a full schedule, plus part-time work, plus looking for a job. Do I study now on top of school and take it as soon as I can (June) so I can submit my application in July, or do I put in a good 2-3 months and take it in August and submit my application as soon as I get my scores, which likely is September?
I have a 3.6 overall gpa, worked retail to support myself throughout my entire undergrad, have some shadowing experience, volunteer at a free clinic in an urban area, get credit helping in a cancer research lab, and am a member of a political extracurricular group at my university. I am extremely afraid by retesting so late it will put my application with the piles of others with nothing that stands out and that studying could be interfered with if I do wind up finding a full time job. However, I am also afraid that taking it earlier will not give me the prep that I need. Lastly, if I take it that late, it would likely be best to apply next year, and I would rather not put off med school another year.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

medical terminology will not be that helpful.

submit as early as possible. If you are a borderline applicant (3.6 is average if not below....) it will all depend on your MCAT, but if your mcat is just average expect a disappointing cycle.

Why don't you just take a year off so you aren't a re-applicant.
