When to Apply with ~3.4-3.6 cGPA?

If by the end of your senior year you have a 3.4-3.6 cGPA, and an avg mcat (~31), when is a good/competitive time to apply to make sure your appl gets a thorough look ?

Is June too Early? Is Aug too Late?

*Edit: I asked because is it worth delaying primary submssion til Aug, for July summer classes to jump from the 3.47 - 3.50 "bracket"?

I say the earlier the better. It wont hurt if you apply as soon as you are able to, but it will if you wait until the last minute.

It doesn't matter what your stats are, you apply as early as possible.

I applied in late Aug/early Sept and I'm definitely regretting it ... so apply early 🙂

Very true...a 3.6 looks alot better than a 3.4 with a 31 MCAT!! 🙂

I'd rather recommend trying to get a 35+ on the MCAT, which would be a much quicker solution to counterbalance his GPA, if he has the aptitude to do that well.

To stay on topic.. it's generally best to apply the first week AMCAS opens up. It takes them a while to verify your application and transcript, so applying at the beginning of June will give you quite a head start. More people start applying in July and August which really cramps the verification process, so getting yours in before everyone else will ensure that you have a chance at the very first round of interview invites.

apply as EARLY as possible. there are are two factors i believe that has damaged my app.

being complete late (mid august) and
lack of research

(and some things i cant control liek nationality...)

apply as early as possible my friend, and you will do much much bettter than u can think o

and seriously, arsenal have a mediocre team, and will end up losing games by the dozen later on in the season, adn they will sell fab next summer, and probably play for a uefa spot/fair play spot next year...

no its nothing. its not even 0.3. its 0.03.
and even if its 0.3 dont even bother. send an update letter.

Woops, I left out a zero. But my concern is that they won't really look at the updates again if they've already reviewed my primary once. If everyone applicant updated once a week, they understandably wouldn't have time to re-review all those updated apps right? But it seems like applying asap is the best idea, so I agree. Hopefully by secondaries, they'll look at any updates.
