Hey all,

So I go to a school that follows a quarter system, and so we don't have finals until June 12th...Grades don't get back until June 24th ish...

I was wondering if I should apply without the spring quarter grades, since that would allow me to send in my application the first week it comes out, as opposed to the 3rd week.

What do you guys think? Pros? Cons?

It depends. Talking to someone from admissions this past year, she said to go ahead and apply before you get grades back, unless you will be taking a lot of prereqs that quarter.

Thanks!

Oh, and also, I was wondering if I did happen to apply without my spring quarter grades, when would I actually send in my spring quarter grades?

Would they even matter? (Since the app would be sent in already)

Apply the very first day the application opens. Don't wait, because every day you aren't sending in your application, hundreds of other pre-dent hopefuls are. As far as fourth quarter grades not being out: not a problem. You will indicates on your application that those classes are planned/in progress, which is completely normal. I hadn't done physics 1/2, biochem, or physiology (I'm a business major) but I noted on my application that I would be taking them, and I've been accepted (assuming, of course, that I complete those prereqs prior to matriculation). Hope that helps!

Thanks!

You can do an academic update some time (I want to say December-ish?) where you can send in grades. So, depending on how good your application is, you might have already gotten interviews/acceptances, and might not have to send them in.
