When to Call

I was just going to let all the schools I applied to contact me, but I notice a lot of you calling the schools to check your status.

When is this appropriate to do? After having your secondary in a month or only after an interview or what?

I know we've talked about this a little already, so sorry to be redundant, but I'm really starting to get this urge to call these people, and I don't want to hurt my chances.
