just out of curiosity..... say you applied and were rejected from all schools, did you go right ahead and apply for the next year or take a couple years off to boost gpa/do more ec's etc?

There's no point in reapplying if your stats haven't significantly changed or if you haven't gotten more experience in the field, unless you overshot on your first cycle and applied to schools out of your league, in which case, applying to lower-tiered schools with the same app might produce a different result. Otherwise, take some time to boost your app and apply next year, unless you have the money to burn.

I'm in this situation right now. I applied this past cycle and was rejected by all. I had a lot of "reach" schools and applied really late in the game, but I'm not reapplying right away. I'm going to, hopefully, apply for fall 2006 and am going to take this next year to really focus on gaining more experience and boosting my GPA. I might also retake the MCAT.
