When to release Step 2 CK score

I am anticipating my Step 2 CK score to be slightly lower than my rather strong Step 1.

When is the best time to release my score?

I was thinking of waiting till after interview invites, but will it look bad to wait that long? (My score should be back by late September.)

I would personally wait until you get some decent interview invites before submitting Step 2 CK. After you are comfortable with number of invites, consider submitting the score near the interview cycle.

Wait until you know the score. I think only UCSF (of the programs I applied to, there might be others) required a step 2 score. I matched my top choice w/o releasing the score until after rank list were in.

From my experience, I had already submitted both Step 1/2, so I can't answer your question. I rarely heard that programs ask for step 2 ck score if it is not on your transcript.
