When to release Step 2 CK?

I tested in late August. Score was middle of the road for my specialty, so I didn't release. What proportion of programs insist on seeing Step 2 CK before ranking? If it's substantial then I'll just release as late as possible and hope the rest won't see. When do programs make their ROL? I definitely don't want to be ruled out because I didn't release, but at the same time want to minimize the probability that it will hurt me for programs that don't require it... if you get my vibe. Help appreciated.

As far as I know most programs so not require CK for ranking. UCSF is a notable exception. I am not sure programs would even receive your step 2 ck now unless they redownloaded it. Unless it is substantially worse it is unlikely to affect your ranking.
