when to start studying for step 2?

when did everyone start studying for step 2? I know some SDNers who started in decemeber for step 1. anyone doing the same for step 2? I didn't start prepping step 1 til summer....

Seems futile to get hardcore before actually completing all the rotations. Anyone actually doing it?

Cat at my school took Step 2 CK before completing all his rotations. He wanted to do Optho thru the military and wanted his scores back in plenty of time. He kicked its arse and matched - so it can be done.
