Once you submit your application, can you still go back and change things? I know it's important to get a low number, which I"m assuming you get once you submit. I"m not quite happy with my personal statement yet, so I was wondering if I could submit the application to secure my number, but still edit the personal statement before anything gets sent to the dental schools (is the first send-out date June 1st?)

Thanks!

hold off submitting that application until you have the final version of your essay done. once it's submitted to aadsas, it can't be edited.

I had a silly question. It seems that some people have already or they are almost ready to submit to AADSAS. Don't you have to wait until the transcripts are confirmed with AADSAS before you can match you coursework with your transcript? I was confused.

Last year, once we submitted the application, we couldn't change anything online. They sent us a copy of our application and told us that if we needed to change anything, then we would need to contact the school directly. I believe they told us that we couldn't change the essay ever after it was submitted.

I think you should be fine submitting your application anytime before July 15. After that, you're going to be submitting at the same time as 70% of the year's applicants.

Your AADSAS number means nothing. It is not another stat on your application that will be looked at like your GPA or your DAT scores. It simply shows how early or late in the game you applied relative to other applicants. The number itself has no bearing. Apply when you are ready (within the next few weeks or month, since you sound close). You still have a good month or so to be a very early applicant. At this point, it is better to be fully prepared and happy with your application than to submit too early (before they are even being processed, too). If my understanding is correct, they don't even send out apps until June 1.
