Is it okay to submit your supplemental application for your schools before submitting your actual VMCAS application? Aside from my personal statement woes, I'm waiting to send my transcripts until after final summer II session grades are in (although with the way my chem test went today...) and waiting to retake the GRE at the end of August. I'd like to get some supplementals done and off my plate in the next week or two but feel a bit funny sending them without having sent anything else yet. I suppose I could fill them out and wait to send?

Thoughts, please 🙂

I think it depends on the school.

I know Ohio State requires that you submit your VMCAS app before they let you submit the supplemental.

So as long as a particular school is ok with you submitting the supp first, I say go for it.

I didn't know some schools (OH) had that rule, how do they enforce that? Is it supp online and you have to enter some type of VMCAS code before you can submit their supp?

I say as long as they let you, send them asap. Less things to worry about once the VMCAS deadline comes close and the school year gets rolling.

haha, yeah, i think last year, Ohio had a thing where their supplemental was due like the day before the vmcas was due... but required that the vmcas be submitted before their supplemental or something like that. I dunno why they do that, and why it should matter... since your transcripts and gre scores probably get there even before the vmcas anyway.
