I'm currently a sophomore in college..will be standing at 61 credits after Fall08. I plan on either finishing and getting my BS in psychobiology by spring or fall '10. Now, when would be the best time to take the GRE? I was planning around Fall next year,2009, as i'm preparing right now for the test.

Also, when should I start getting my AAVMC (believe that's what it's called?) profile and all that ready?

Thanks!!

If you want to apply to start vet school in Fall of 2010 at US schools (I will be!), you can start the application in June of next year. I think that's when they open it. But that's a long way off so don't remind me!

Take the GRE whenever you feel ready to take it, honestly. It isn't really particularly helped by having more upper division college coursework so there's no real reason to need to wait until you're almost done. Winter break or next summer would probably be good times if you would rather take it when you don't have the stress of classes too. 🙂
