Hello all,

I just finished my 3rd semester at Texas A&M University. I currently have 58 credit hours and I plan on graduating in December 2017. When would be the best time to start preparing for the DAT and actually take it?
Also, how much does taking a practice test help in preparing for the real deal?

All feedback is appreciated.
Thanks.

A lot. Building up your stamina and perfecting your timing on the DAT is super important and practice tests really allow you to dial these aspects in.

Depends on when you are planning to apply. If you are applying the summer of 2018, you have plenty of time to study and take it before the start of May.
If you applying during the summer of 2017, I would start studying during your 2016 winter break and take the exam when ever you're comfortable.
