When to take the DAT?

I am planning to apply for dental school this May. I'm taking the Kaplan prep course this summer. Is it ok to take the DAT after I completed the course which should be sometime in July? Is that too late? 😕

no it is not too late. submit your AADSAS application mid-may, and your dat scores will be sent immediately after your exam.

that's right. DON'T WAIT to send your application in just because you are waiting for your DAT scores. I took the kaplan course as well, and took the DAT in august, but i didn't get my appli. in until the beginning of september, and I really screwed myself over by submitting it so late.

Anytime in the summer will be just the right time for your DAT taking. You may have to well plan ahead during this peak season as rescheduling of test date may not be as flexible as it will be otherwise. And make sure you prepare yourself adequately and get it aced the very first time.
