Recently, the organization I had been volunteering with offered to sponsor me for an AmeriCorp position. This came as a complete surprise since I did not even know AmeriCorps existed until they contacted me about the opportunity. I applied through the AmeriCorp website and was officially accepted as of today.
I was originally supposed to be a scribe but COVID has caused my program to be suspended so this opportunity was perfect for me.
When would be a good time to update schools about this new job? I wrote about scribing later this year in any secondaries that asked about my gap year plans but this is completely new.
