When will next Harrisons version be out?

Just started internship and my wife will be starting her's next year. I wanted to get us a Harrisons using my stipend money but I see Harrisons hasn't had a new version since 2004 (16th edition?).

The way medicine changes in a few months, it would piss me off to get this 2004 outdated POS for $$$ when a new 2007 version is in the wings...

Anyone heard anything?

I asked my bookstore about a month ago and they had nothing in their computers yet about an impending release of a new edition. It does seem that about every 3 years is the rate the new ones come out. So your guess is as good as mine.

Does your residency not have Accessmedicine?

Just found out. Feb 2008 is the expected release date of the 17th edition.
