When you wrote the OAT

I'd say either plan to either write once or twice. But for either you choose, make sure you are prepared by the date you set. I wrote my first time in late summer, got 330 TS AA which I thought was low (It actually isn't). So I wrote a second time to make myself more competitive. But generally the earlier the better.

I'd plan to take it directly after taking Physics II, Organic II, and Chem II.

I think only a portion of Ochem II is on there. I didn't see much of sample analysis and lab techniques. But aromatics and reactions involving them were definitely tested. Don't quote me on this! Refer to the ADA's OAT manual https://www.ada.org/oat/oat_examinee_guide.pdf .

I had to fulfill Ochem II because it was mandatory to graduate. Personally, I felt that the whole series helped prepare me well for the OATs.

you can get by without taking ochem II, but if you have ochem II, it'll help a TON on the test. Ochem isn't required for the oat, but i HIGHLY suggest taking it. I remember there being at LEAST 1/3 of my test questions being ochem II stuff.

I'm not familiar with this Organic chem II? is this a standard in US? I've only taken 1 semester of organic chem and the OAT questions that I had were never out of the scope of that one semester of organic chem I took.
