but your on a rising track... Is a non-science major going to hurt more than help?

Reason being I'm a business major taking the science pre reqs for med school but in the business track I wont have to opportunity to take recommended science courses.

Thoughts?

It'll only matter in the sense that you'll be limited from taking upper level science courses that actually end up giving out more A's since theyre no longer weed-out courses. So your BCPM GPA might be lower than what it could be. But if you can find the time to still load up more science classes while doing a business major, then it's no big deal.

I currently have a 3.04 but have 94 credits left (including remaining science pre reqs and jr and sr level business courses)

I'm on track at the moment to get an A in Chem 1 A in Physics 1 and B in Bio

You should take some other non-prereq science courses to pad the science GPA but still keep the business major.

When your gpa is weak: get your sandals ready, your going to med school in te Caribbean.

So I couldn't do enough reparation of my gpa in 94 credits?

I went to UCSD and this was quite the opposite for me... lower div math/sciences were much easier to get A's than upper div

the lower divs were often general reqs for a bunch of majors. the upper divs have much higher % of hardcores - bioengineering, premeds etc etc

my experience anyway
and there is no "weed out" class in college, there isn't in med school either, everything gets progressively harder

idk...I go to a huge university and there are definitely weed out classes. 1/3 of Organic I students fail. If that's not a weed out I don't know what is...
