Ok...so I just got back from my second interview. My first one was about a month ago and I have already been accepted to that school (not my first choice..more like my last one to be exact). So I was really excited to receive an invite from one of my top choice schools.

Overall, my interviewer said I looked very confident and was not shy, he complimented my grades and said I was a rounded applicant. Yet, he had advice for the future...and with the worst question..."Why MD?"!
How bad is this???!?!?! He admitted he gave me a tough interview and mayne didn't phrase the questions in the way I might have expected...and he actually re-phrased the question and gave me a second shot...he liked the second shot better....am I doomed to get a rejection?!?!?!?!

I'm a bit anal (like everyone else in here! 😛)...and I usually rock my interviews! My pre-med committee said I didn't have to improve on anything, yet this guy gave me pointers for future interviews!

At the end he said he would root for me...but I dunno....has anyone gone through this? Am I looking waaaay too much into this? Or this is something that could hurt me?

Sorry if I seem a lil nuts...I just really want to get in this school 😛

Thanks!

At my first interview last year, my interviewer told me that I obviously did not understand the question. He re-phrased the question and I answered it to the best of my ability. He then proceeded to tell me that there was no correct answer to the question. (an ethics question) I left there perplexed and feeling hopless. I did get accepted there. At least he told you he would root for you. I think you are worrying too much(like I didn't last year-haha).Just be sure and write him a thank you note telling him that while his interview was hard, it really gave you insight or some kind of BS like that. They seem to love that stuff.

What kind of pointers did he give you for the future? Maybe he really liked you and was just offering solid advice. He did say he was rooting for you so I wouldn't worry too much.

You're in. If he said he'll root for you. You're in! They try to mess with you, but I think you're good to go. I had similar experiences at 2 interviews and got into both of those schools, so I think you should be set. Relax. Have a beer, or two, or a case....how about a keg?
