Hi, in the interest of not jinxing an upcoming mortgage application (using my salary), I'm trying to delay the promissory note signing of my Sallie Mae loans for as long as I can.

Does anyone know how late I can push signing to complete the loans? I've gotten a "third notice" requesting that I do the promissory note.

Sallie Mae would not answer me beyond stating that I will continue to be sent reminder notices... 🙄

It's hard to say because different lenders and schools all have their own deadline dates. I wonder why they won't just tell you?

I think the lender can wait until the last day of the semester to fund your loans for that semester. The real question is how long your school will let you go without paying (assuming those loans are going to tuition). I would check with them.
