Where can I find a decent overview of fluid bolus and fluid maintenance?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I recommend Jeffery Guy's podcast on fluid replacement on his ICU Rounds series, free on iTunes. It is excellent.

BTW, your series of recent posts in the med student sub forum would probably be better served in the clinicians area, the area I frequent the most here. I have been answering your various posts here because they are within the scope of my knowledge as a paramedic. Looking at your "pre-health" tag, I believe that taking advantage of the med students here is a bit unfair.

Well I need to change that tag to med student. sry.

I'll check that podcast out though.

I searched "Jeffery Guy and fluid" and I didn't see anything.

In that case, I apologize.

If you take a look at the link from the poster above me, Dr. Guy has several podcasts that may be of interest to you, including two rather extensive ones on IV fluids, and a few on electrolyte abnormalities. In fact, all the podcasts are pretty awesome. I listen to some of these on runs, at the gym, and sometimes in the car if I am driving far enough. His prehospital series (also on itunes) got me through pharm in paramedic school.

Good luck.

He has all kinds of stuff on these podcasts. I'll have to check them out. I've listened to all of Guljon's and those were great although...difficult.
