where can I find DO school?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
US MD? No I didnt apply(was too late in the cycle). Im either going DO or Sackler, havent decided yet. I have nothing against DOs, I just think their expansion has been a bit extreme in recent years.

Oh ok the way it came off I was thinking you were accepted to a American MD and were being rude, congrats on your multiple acceptances

DO schools are not easy in the least bit, the entrance requirements are lower than MD schools but in recent years they have been creeping up so regardless you need to be committed
Since there's no DO school in Maryland, I will probably have to apply to schools out of state. In-state students are a lot more advantageous than out-of-state students right?

No worries and thank you.

Nah most are private so there isnt a big in state bias for DO schools.

Mainlanders still get regional preference. My state has no DO school and I don't get regional preference.

Like they said above, most are private and will be more than willing to accept a worthy candidate you just need to search these forums and find the schools with biases like UNECOM, Rowan, PCOM, etc

There is this thing, And it's called Google and it will be very useful to you if you learned how to use it.

It seems like there are no DO schools in Maryland? I am a Maryland resident and I would like to go for a DO school in Maryland.

One more question. Is DO school as expensive as MD school?

Before you ask another grade school level question I recommend you learn how to use Google. My 10 year old nephew could tell you the answers to your questions within 5 minutes of turning on a computer.

No need to be rude. I just wanted to make sure that I got the correct info. I already researched about DO and I saw that there was no DO school in maryland and came back here to ensure that there are no do schools I'm maryland. Calm down are you having a bad day?

Why do you have to confirm on an internet forum? You shouldn't trust a lot of things that are said on here. There are official websites for DO schools, and the official guide to all the DO schools on the AACOM website.

There are some things you can ask about our honest opinions, but asking questions that can easily be found on Google search shows a bit of immaturity, and that you're not ready to become a physician just yet. I'm not trying to be rude either, just being honest. Physicians need to be resourceful, and figure a lot of things out on their own. Nothing is going to be handed over on a silver platter.

You're going to be in a world of hurt in med school and on the wards with that attitude. Most people don't have time to mince words, and nobody is going to treat you with kid gloves. More importantly, don't expect to be spoonfed. Show some initiative, for cripes' sake.
