Where can I learn more about our Healthcare System?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
bump. I need to learn too lol, especially if/when it comes up in a future med school interview 😀

edit: just saw aklark's reply after this post

Understanding Health Policy: a Clinical Approach by Bodenheimer was a good read for me, and it also has other health care models from different countries in it too. I highly recommend it if you have the time.

Awesome, I'll look it up on Amazon!

I also recommend you to research the Korean model of universal health care. The Obamacare is ultimately aiming to implement something similar here in the U.S.
On the other hand, Korea is aiming to implement the U.S. healthcare model (e.g. establishing for-profit hospitals) due to its own imperfection in the universal healthcare system.
